Working for tips

The following information has been provided by the Redlands Police Department:

Cops and sheriff’s deputies will be waiting tables and taking orders this Thursday evening.

Redlands Police officers and other RPD personnel will be joined by members of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, waiting tables and taking orders at the restaurant at 2046 Redlands Blvd., as part of “Serve for Change,” an effort to raise money and awareness for the Sexual Assault Services of San Bernardino County.

In addition, San Bernardino Police officers and Sheriff’s deputies will be serving at the Highland Applebee’s at 4070 Highland Ave.

On Thursday evening, both Applebee’s restaurants will donate 15 percent of the check for any diner presenting a “Serve for Change” flier between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Fliers are available in Redlands at any Redlands Police Department facility.

Sexual Assault Services of San Bernardino County is a non-profit organization that has provided services to victims of sexual assault and domestic violence for more than 35 years.
