Sunny forecast for local media company

picture-49.pngA Riverside-based company will be the first city business to go solar. On Thursday, Monster Media, Inc., will begin using solar power at its Riverside headquarters.

This is the first non-residential solar project to be completed in Riverside. The system will supply 14.6 kilowatts of power, enough to significantly reduce the amount of power the company purchases as a customer of Riverside Public Utilities.

HeliPower is a leading solar power company in California. We are very pleased to work with such a passionate environmental leader like Derric. We installed his system both for his business, Monster Media and his residence. Here’s some facts on the system:
The Monster Media solar power system, which is a roof mounted installation, is made up of 96 Mitsubishi 185 solar photovoltaic modules and 2 SMA 7000 inverters. After final inspection, the system will be monitored online via a SMA web box monitoring system. This monitoring configuration will deliver system performance specifications to an online portal. The system will offset 2 tons a month of CO2.This equates to taking 5 cars off the road. Each car produces 12,000 lbs/year. It will produce 2500 kilowatt hours (kWh) of energy per month.
