A onetime UC Riverside student accused of making threats to cancel last year’s graduation has pleaded guilty to two charges.
Audley Yung, originally from Richmond, allegedly came up with the scheme in order to keep his family from realizing he wasn’t graduating.
Threatening notes and the discovery of a Molotov cocktail last June resulted in the postponement of one graduation ceremony and several final exams.
As part of a deal, Yung pleaded guilty Wednesday morning to exploding a destructive device and making criminal threats. He originally faced six charges.
Yung faces up to three years in prison; sentencing is scheduled for June 12.
