A hiker bitten by a rattlesnake had to be airlifted out of a canyon on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, a man was hiking by himself in a remote area of Bee Canyon, east of Valle Vista, when he was bitten in the leg.
A sheriff’s helicopter located the man and airlifted him to the U.S. Forest Service’s Cranston Station.
