A 2.4 micro quake was the first in a series to rattle the Indio area on Wednesday morning.

The initial quake,  centered 11 miles east of Indio, happened at 8:24 a.m.

The temblor was followed by a 1.7 at 8:56 a.m. and a pair of 1.9s at 8:57 a.m. and 9:51 a.m.
