An elderly Redlands woman has died two weeks after being hit by an SUV.

According to the San Bernardino County coroner’s office, Aileen Ekker, 86, was in a parking-lot crosswalk when she and several other pedestrians were struck.

Ekker was taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center and then transferred to Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Fontana, where she died on Wednesday.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
