Quake rattles the desert

A 4.2 magnitude earthquake was measured in the Palm Springs area Wednesday night. It happened at 8:55 p.m.
The shaking was felt in Borrego Springs, Anza and Palm Desert. There have been no reports of damage.
The graphs on the right show how the event was measured as several different monitoring stations.
Another quake, likely an aftershock, happened in the same region at 9:38 p.m. It was 2.4 in magnitude.
