Riverside County Animal Service’s forth annual Adopt-a-Thon is far more than dogs and cats finding happy homes — this year’s activities include an Elvis dog-lookalike competition, a Frisbee-catching dog demo, rabbit agility demonstrations, vintage cars and an old-fashioned Kool Katz dance for two-legged participants.
The Adopt-a-Thon — spread into two 12-hour sessions Friday and Saturday — begins at 8 a.m. at the shelter, at 5950 Wilderness Avenue.
The dance contest is Friday at 6:30 p.m.; the Elvis contest is at noon Saturday.
