The University of California Board of Regents is expected to name a new UC Riverside chancellor at its Thursday meeting at UCLA.
According to a UCR press release, the board will meet in a closed session at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, then in open session at 9 a.m. to approve the new chancellor’s pay.

The new chancellor will leave the UCLA campus and head to Riverside, where a 4 p.m. welcome is scheduled for University Theatre; that will be webcast from UCR’s home page.
The previous UCR chancellor, France A. Córdova, is now president of Purdue University.
Robert D. Grey has served as acting chancellor since June.
