A house fire in Sage is threatening to become a wildland fire.

According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the fire at Wilson Valley and Reed Valley roads was reported at 3:01 p.m.

As of 3:42 p.m., the fire was contained to the residence and two small areas of brush.

There were no reports of injuries, though high temperatures were hampering firefighters.
