A 2.4 magnitude earthquake rattled the Lake Elsinore area on Thursday morning.

According to the US Geological Survey, the quake hit at 11:01 a.m. and was centered 6 miles west-southwest of Lake Elsinore and 22 miles south of Riverside.

The depth was 4.4 miles.
