A magnitude 2.4 earthquake rattled the Lucerne Valley area  at 6:12 p.m. Monday.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the micro quake was centered 7 miles west-northwest of Lucerne Valley and 28 miles north-northeast of San Bernardino.

The epicenter was 2.4 miles deep.
