Year-old girl dies after falling into swimming pool

A year-old Corona girl died Tuesday, two days after she was found face-down in a swimming pool.

According to the Riverside County coroner’s office, Giselle Galindo was found by her father in an in-ground swimming pool on Sunday. She was taken to Corona Regional Medical Center and then transferred to Loma Linda University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is investigating.
