A tractor sparked an 18-acre fire Monday afternoon in the Quail Valley area of Menifee.

According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the fire was reported at 1 p.m. at Hampshire and Connecticut drives.

A total of 18 acres burned.

Those responsible for sparking the fire will be billed for firefighting costs.
