Two shot in parking lot after Angels game

An off-duty police officer shot and wounded two men who allegedly assaulted him in an Angel Stadium parking lot after Wednesday’s game.

According to the Associated Press, the officer was walking to his car with his family when he was hit in the head. He then used his duty weapon to shoot the men, one in the head, the other in the arm.

The officer also suffered a serious wound. All three were hospitalized

Earlier in the evening, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim defeated the Colorado Rockies, 11-3.

An opening-day fight at the stadium left a 27-year-old Buena Park man with fatal injuries. Brian Powers died two days after he fell and hit his head on a concrete step.
