A Caltrans maintenance vehicle and a pickup truck were involved in an accident on Interstate 15 in Norco late Thursday morning.

According to Caltrans, the accident happened on the southbound I-15 just north of the Highway 91 interchange. As of shortly after noon, four of the five lanes were closed. Both the Caltrans worker and the occupant of the pickup truck were taken to local hospitals.

The traffic backup was compounded by an incident on the westbound 91 in Corona.

All lanes were reopened by 1:15 p.m., according to Caltrans.
