Two same-sex weddings happened in downtown Riverside tuesday morning.

Inside the clerk’s office, two Riverside women exchanged vows — Jacquelin Padilla and Virginia Gutierrez, and two men from Riverside held their ceremony outside the Riverside County Administration Building.

Harvey Soldon and Gary Holt had a group of approximately 50 friends and family who gathered to witness the event.

On Tuesday 20 gay weddings were scheduled at another County Clerk Recorder office on Gateway Drive.
