A toddler was hit and killed in her Rubidoux driveway on Friday afternoon.

According to the Riverside County coroner’s office, 1-year-old  Ashley Marleen Avalos was struck by a pickup truck in front of her home in the 3200 block of Laurel Drive just after 2 p.m. Friday.

She was declared dead at the scene.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating.
