Thomas Nenno Wheeler, 81, of Hemet, died Dec. 20, 2009, at Ramona Manor Convalescent in Hemet.

Graveside services are at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 4, 2010 at Riverside National Cemetery. Cremation Society of Riverside County in Romoland handled arrangements.

Mr. Wheeler, who was born in Monterey Park, lived in Hemet 26 years. He was a graphic designer for Northrup Aircraft for 23 years.

He loved art and animals. He enjoyed dancing, painting, reading, and gardening.

Mr. Wheeler served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Audrey; two sons, Mark, of Hemet, and Paul, of Lakewood; a sister, Catherine Hayden of Whittier; a brother, Richard, of Sacramento; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
