A small earthquake was recorded in Anza at 10:34 p.m. on Friday, July 3.
The event was 2.4 in magnitude according to the USGS.
A smaller quake was recorded in the same region at 12:19 a.m. Saturday morning.
There have been no reports of damage. Anza is 25 miles from Palm Springs.
