Samuel Martin

samuel_martin.jpg Samuel A. Martin, a 25 year resident of Hemet passed away on Monday, November 2, 2009 at Manor Care.

He was born in Wynne, Arkansas and moved to California after serving in the Navy during World War II. He retired as Captain after working 24 years at the Fire Department in Torrance, California. He enjoyed camping and RVing.

He was a 19 year member of the Hemet Elks. He also belonged to the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

His hobbies were traveling, photography and the internet. He belonged to the Ramona Rovers RV Club and Bus Nuts FMCA for many years and was into square dancing for many years when he first moved to Hemet.

Mr. Martin is survived by his wife of 57 years, a son Samuel, a daughter Sharon Hansen, four grandchildren and two great-grand-children.
