Robert Mujica, Sr. December 29, 1942 ~ November 4, 2009
Beloved Pop Robert a. Mujica, Sr., entered into the hands of the Lord on Nov. 4, 2009 at the age of 66. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by his family who he held close to his heart.
He resided in Redlands for the past 20 years, prior to that he lived in Highland for 46 years. Robert was preceded in death by his loving parents, Joseph and Consuelo Mujica.
He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Montes, loving son-in-law, Carlos of Highland and his son, Robert A. Mujica, Jr., fiancée Margina Hoover of Las Vegas.
In addition is survived by three granddaughters, Rebecca Montes, Shasha and Savannah Mujica and also survived by his only brother, Joseph Mujica and sister-in-law, Margaret of East Highland.
He graduated from Redlands High School in 1960 and San Bernardino Valley College. He also served in the Navy from 1961-1965, during the Vietnam War on the USS Oriskany as a Radar Specialist. Robert retired after 43 years from AT&T as a Communications Technician.
Robert also known as “POP” to his daughter, son and his three granddaughters, as a hard working family man who would always be willing to help and give great advice whenever asked and would never think twice. “POP” was a loyal USC Football fan.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, Nov ember 11, 2009 from 4-8pm with Rosary at 6pm at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 703 Brookside Ave., Redlands. Service on Thursday, November 12, 2009 with Mass at 9am at St. Adelaide’s Catholic Church, 27457 Baseline St., Highland with burial immediately following at Hillside Memorial Park, Redlands.
