Robert Huey, 91, of Hemet, died Nov. 12, 2009, at Village Healthcare in Hemet.

Services are private. Interment is private at Riverside National Cemetery. Inland Memorial Harford Chapel in Hemet is handling arrangements.

Mr. Huey, who was born in Kansas, lived in Hemet 37 years. He worked for Standard Oil Co. in Saudi Arabia from ages 19 to 22. He also established businesses in new cars, used cars, vehicle transportation, and real estate and served as the accountant for all of them.

He enjoyed playing shuffleboard and travelling. He and his wife traveled to the 50 states, as well as Mexico, Canada, the South China Sea, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, New Zealand, Australia, and the Panama Canal.

Mr. Huey served in the Merchant Marine as a lieutenant, junior grade, purser-pharmacist’s mate for two years.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Glenn Margaret, of Hemet, and two daughters, Margie Huey Mulligan and Linda Huey.
