Motorcycle rider dies on Van Buren Blvd.; police ask for help from witnesses

On Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at approximately 4:15 p.m. members of the Riverside Police Department responded to an injury traffic collision on Van Buren Blvd north of Jurupa Ave. in the City of Riverside.

A motorcyclist was northbound on Van Buren Blvd approaching the Santa Ana River Bridge when traffic slowed causing the cyclist to lose control of his motorcycle and striking the pavement.

The motorcyclist later died from his injuries.

Witness statements regarding the collision were limited. The Riverside Police Department is asking anyone with information about the collision to contact Detective Ken Madsen at (951) 353-7989.
