Riverside DUI checkpoint at Magnolia Avenue and Skofstad Street

On Friday, December 18, 2009, ABC, Riverside Community College Police Department, Riverside Police Department, and the University of California Riverside Police Department conducted a DUI/Drivers License checkpoint at the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and Skofstad Street in the City of Riverside.
The checkpoint was in operation between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m.  More than 2751 vehicles drove through the checkpoint.  There were 3 drivers arrested for DUI, 1 arrest for possession of marijuana, ninety-six citations were issued, and fifty-one vehicles were impounded.

Funding for this operation was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
