Riverside DUI checkpoint arrests

The following information has been provided by the Riverside Police Department:

On Friday June 26, 2009, the Riverside Police Department conducted a DUI/Drivers License checkpoint on Market Street at 3rd Street, in the City of Riverside.

The checkpoint was in operation between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m.; 813 vehicles drove through the checkpoint. Fifty-four citations were issued, and 23 vehicles were impounded.

Police officers from the checkpoint made 3 arrests for DUI from the surrounding area.
