If there’s a theme at the Los Angeles Auto Show this year, it’s about vehicles that may never need a trip to the gas station.
While the traditional Mini Cooper has enjoyed enormous success in the California auto marketplace, Mini-USA says it will soon offer a so-called ‘Mini E.’ It’s a vehicle with an all-electric drive system; you can take it to a gas station, but it runs on electricity.
I haven’t driven one yet, but Mini claims that its electric vehicle can do zero to 60 in just 8.5 seconds. Not bad.
