A Redlands man has been arrested for allegedly selling counterfeit tickets for the Father’s Day baseball game between the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
According to the Redlands Police Department, 23-year-old Jesse Julian Delgado has been arrested for forgery, burglary and theft after five people reported buying four to five tickets each to the June 21 game, paying $80-$140. In most cases, the buyers didn’t realize the tickets were bootlegged until they tried to get into Angel Stadium.
The victims said they found the seller on craigslist; Delgado allegedly set up meetings at various locations to sell the tickets.
A search warrant served at Delgado’s home in the 1400 block of Hunter Drive turned u tickets matchin the ones sold to the victims; police also seized computers, cell phones, money and drugs.
Police belive as many as 30 people may have purchased the fake tickets; victims, or anyone with additional information is asked to call Officer Dominick Povero at (909) 798-7681.
