Ray Lawrence Prusha, 66, of Hemet, died Oct. 9, 2009, at Loma Linda VA Medical Center.

Services and interment are private. The Cremation Society of Riverside County is handling arrangements.

Mr. Prusha, who was born in Ohio, lived in Hemet 13 years. He was a landscape superintendent for 25 years.

He served as a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years and earned a Good Conduct Medal and a marksmanship badge.

Mr. Prusha enjoyed camping, target practice, drinking beer, and barbecuing.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kristy Gonzales, and a brother, Ronald. Mr. Prusha is survived by his wife, Deanna; his father, Joe; his mother, Daisy Ripley; his children, Tamra, of Maine, Brittany and Daisy, both of Hemet, and Leah Jones of Missouri; and eight grandchildren.
