A Rancho Cucamonga man was arrested after allegedly using the offer of meth and alcohol, as well as showing porn, to convince a 13-year-old boy to engage in sex.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, a woman reported her son missing on Friday afteroon; he had gone to a Rancho Cucamonga home to play video games, but when she went to find him, she was told he wasn’t there.
Police initially got the same response, but found the shaken boy in an upstairs loft.
The 13-year-old told authorities that suspect Jose Luis Chavez invited him to play video games, but then offered him methamphetamines and alcohol and showed him porn in an apparent attempt to get hi to engage in sex.
Deputies found a bag of what appeared to be meth and another that appeared to be marijuana.
Chavez, 26, of Rancho Cucamonga, was booked for lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14, false imprisonment and drug possession. He was held in lieu of $250,000 bail.
