A minor earthquake occurred at 7:32 p.m. on Friday, February 5.  It was centered in Punta Gorda, and was a magnitude 3.5 according to the USGS.

A second quake happened in the same reginn at 8:05 p.m. Friday evening, it was 3.6 in magnitude.

Punta Gorda is 51 miles from Eureka.

There have been no reports of damage.
