The Vatican is said to be reviewing its security after Pope Benedict was attacked as he was beginning mass on Christmas eve.

According to the Vatican, Pope Benedict as taken by surprise when a woman jumped a barrier. Video shows the Pontiff falling to the ground.

Pope Benedict is 82 and was uninjured, according to the Vatican. Roger Cardinal Etchegaray, 87, was taken to the hospital with a broken hip.

The woman has been identified as Susanna Maiolo, 25, a Swiss-Italian national.
