The following information has been provided by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department:
On November 21 and November 22, the Perris Police Department’s traffic team conducted DUI saturation patrols throughout the city of Perris.
Forty-five citations were issued; 25 vehicles were stored or impounded; and five drunk drivers were arrested.
The Perris Police Department will be conducting several more DUI checkpoints and DUI saturation patrols throughout the remainder of November and December 2008, in an effort to reduce injuries and deaths due to DUI collisions this holiday season.
The next nighttime DUI enforcement programs will take place mid-December.
