Riverside and San Bernardino are both in the grip of an ongoing home mortgage crisis. “One in 350 homes in Riverside are entering foreclosure” says David Constantino. He’s the President of Patrion Mortgage. His company, along with Altura Credit Union will host a meeting on Saturday specifically for local homeowners who know they need help, but don’t know how to get it– or how to ask for it.

“If you’re a homeowner who is in trouble, or who is in danger of defaulting don’t react by doing nothing” says Constantino. He says too many homeowners don’t even know what type of loan they have. The Saturday meeting is an attempt to give local homeowners specific information about their options based on their individual circumstances.
The event will follow Friday’s vote in Washington D.C. on what’s described as a $700 billion dollar bailout package. The money is described as a much-needed cushion resulting from the impact of a nationwide real estate meltdown.
