A man was shot in the leg in a drive-by shooting in Riverside late Monday.

According to the Riverside Police Department, officers were called to a possible shooting in the 1300 block of Gazania Circle just after 10 p.m. Monday.

A large group of family and friends that had gathered were uncooperative, but police eventually determined that the victim and several others had been in the garage when the suspects drove past and then returned and fired multiple rounds at the garage.

The suspects fled north on Columbia Avenue.

The victim was taken to Riverside Community Hospital where he was listed in stable condition with a single gunshot wound to the leg.
