President-elect Barack Obama selects team that shares his ‘belief that we cannot have a thriving Wall Street without a thriving Main Street.’
The nominees are: Timothy Geithner as treasury secretary; Christina Romer as chair of the Council of Economic Advisers; Lawrence Summers as director of the National Economic Council; and Melody Barnes as director of the White House Domestic Policy Council.
