Marvin E. Fleming, age 79, of Hemet, passed away Saturday, December 12th, 2009, at Hemet Valley Medical Center.
Melvin was born in Millville, New Jersey on July 8th 1930. He retired from the U.S. Navy after serving in the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War. He was also a Civil Servant for 21 years.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Bertha J. Fleming, daughter and sons, Steven Fleming, Richard Fleming and Myrna Talbert. Step daughters, Kathy Throne, Carolyn Stewart, Laura Rueckert and Donna Rios. Brother Ralph Fleming and sisters Betty, Mary and Eula. Twenty-Nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
He was a past President for Eagles Lodge of San Diego, Scottish Rite of San Bernadino, Order of Orient of California, VFW Lifetime Member, Masonic Lodge #615 of Hemet, Elks Lodge #1740 Hemet, and American Legion Post 53, Hemet.
Services will be private and at a later date.
Arrangements are being held by Miller-Jones Mortuary, Hemet. Internment will be at Riverside National Cemetery.
