Louise Angela Rich, born 09 Sept 1927…died 03 Dec 2009.

Louise passed away at Meadowbrook Healthcare Center and Senior Living in Hemet, California. Louise was born in Youngstown, Ohio and lived in Campbell and Lorain, Ohio, as well as Oklahoma City before finally residing in Riverside, California in 1965.

Louise entered the Carmelite Order of St. Theresa of the Child of Jesus in Oklahoma City in January 1955. Final Vows were made on 22 September 1957 and she was then known as Sister Antonia Theresa of the Joys of Mary.

She taught school, did nursery work and worked as a Certified X-Ray Technologist having trained at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City. Louise took her x-ray supervision training at Mercy Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Louise left the Order and worked as an x-ray technician.

She then worked for the Riverside Unified School District-the last 11 years at Sierra Middle School in the Special Education Department. She retired 01 June 1998. Louise loved to work in her garden. She was a former member of the Italian Catholic Federation and St. Thomas Adult Choir.

Louise is survived by her brothers, Frank Rich, John Rich and Reverend Joseph Rich and her sisters, Palma Rich, Phyllis Rich and Rose Mary Rich, as well as many other relations.

Any memorial contributions can be made to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Riverside, California. Viewing and Rosary will take place Friday, December 11, 2009 at 11:00 am with Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 11:30am both at St Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Riverside.
