The only surprise is that it was announced that Lou Reed will appear with Laurie Anderson when she presents “Homeland” at UC Riverside on Tuesday; Anderson’s publicist confirms that Reed will appear.
After all, Reed just performed in Los Angeles. And the pair are technically newlyweds — they’d better show up for one another’s gigs when they can.
“Homeland” is a “concert poem” that encompasses war and advertising and fear and art — and is a single piece of music, so whatever you do, be in your seat at 8 p.m.
