Josephine Thurman age 92, longtime resident of Dayton, Ohio, entered eternal rest peacefully on Tuesday in Sun City. She was born in Ohio, she was a longtime beautician who owned and operated her own beauty shop until the age of 89.

Josephine had been married to her late beloved husband Russell when he passed at the young age of 53 in 1957. On her own with determination and perseverance she raised their 3 children and provided for them through her diligent efforts at her beauty shop in Dayton, Ohio.

She was a wonderful mother,  grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, who will be greatly missed.

There will be no local services; burial will be back at Dayton Memorial Park along with her late Russell. Please feel free to leave her family online condolences. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Walker Family Funeral Services.
