John Hall Simm age 78, John passed away on December 07, 2009, 11:00am at his home in Hemet, CA. John was born December 09, 1930 in Hollywood, CA.

He served in the Coast Guard and was honorably discharged in 1953 as a First Class Petty Officer. He married his wife on February 14th of that same year. He lived most of his life in California, and the last eight years in Hemet, where he was a member of the Hemet Elks Lodge #1740.

As husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather he touched many lives with his humor, intellect, spiritual guidance and love. Devoted father of six, grandfather of eleven and great-grandfather of one.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jeannette (Jan); daughters, Sharon Powell and her husband John, Suzanne Shepard and her husband Steve, and his sons Steven Simm and his partner Dave, Stewart Simm and his wife Nancy, Spencer Simm and his fiancé Charlene and Edward Simm and his wife Marisa.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Harold B. and Elsie Simm.

We will all miss him but will always hold him close to our hearts.

Services will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 630 S. Santa Fe St. in San Jacinto on December 11, 2009 at 10:00am with burial to follow at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Hemet Hospice would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements by: John Rowe, Director 951-658-4433
