A Highland woman was arrested Monday in connection with the Saturday robbery of a Calimesa bank.
According to the Riveride County Sheriff’s Department, the Bank of America at 1055 Calimesa Blvd. was robbed at 11:48 a.m. Saturday by a stocky Hispanic femalewho threatened to harm the teller. The suspect then fled to a waiting vehicle.
Information led investigators to an address in San Bernardino, where Teresa Gomez, 33, was arrested with the help of probation officers. Her car, believed to have been used in the robbery, was also recovered.
A search of her Highland home turned up evidence connecting Gomez (pictured) to the robbery — but investigators didn’t find any of the money.
Authorities are trying to determine whether Gomez is linked to other holdups in the region.
Anyone with additional information is asked to call Det. Bonaime at (951) 922-7100.
