Gunman tried to force woman into her car in La Quinta

kidnapsuspect1014.jpgAn armed man reportedly tried to force a woman into her car at a La Quinta park on Tuesday.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, a woman and a friend had been exercising at La Quinta Park when the woman was approached by a man with a handgun at approximately 6:30 a.m.

He tried to force her into her car, but she managed to run off. The man then fled on foot.

A search of the area failed to turn up the suspect, who is described an a Hispanic male in his 20s, 6 feet, 200 lbs., with short or shaved hair. He was last seen wearing a dark sweatshirt and black sweatpants.
