Head out on Ramon Road towards Cathedral City, and you come across a little known site.
The last resting place of Frank Sinatra, Sonny Bono as well as the Mother and Sister of Zsa Zsa Gabor, Busby Berkeley and “My Fair Lady” composer Frederick Loewe.
It also contains the only Gay Veterans Memorial in the United States.
The site is peaceful and simple. All of the graves have a simple plaque, rather than flashy Hollywood-type headstones. Sinatra’s is usually marked with a small American flag and a few flowers.
The Gay Veterans Memorial sits among other memorials which you will see in this video report.
