Despite budget restraints, Riverside’s annual July 4 fireworks display will go on as scheduled this year.

The display is slated to begin at 9 p.m. on the 4th of July, which this year falls on a Saturday. The display is visible from downtown Riverside and miles around.

The city’s 4th of July Spectacular is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Riverside Sports Complex, 1000 Blaine Street; admission is $4, with children younger than 5 admitted free. Tickets are on sale now at the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department at 3936 Chestnut St.
