Hundreds of boats dotted the water at Canyon Lake for the fireworks display. It started just after 9:00 p.m. Friday.
The dazzling fireworks show is an annual tradition.
The City of Canyon Lake has a population of roughly 11,000 people. It is 383 acres in size.
Canyon Lake is one of only five gated cities in all of California; residents are allowed to invite guests. The public is not allowed in without an invitation.
