A 6-year-old Highand boy’s two aunts — and his father — were arrested after one of the women abducted him as he was on his way to school Thursday.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Jacob Roman was walking to school on Wisteria Lane when Perlita Roman allegedly grabbed him and put him into the back of her car.
The boy’s mother, Christina Christie, told police that she has a domestic-violence restraining order against his father, Sergio Gonzales, and that several days earlier he had threatened to take Jacob and go to Mexico.
Addresses were checked out in Ontario Fontana, Redlands and Rialto; also, the Border Patrol was alerted.
At approximately 1 p.m., deputies were told the boy and Roman were at a business on Limonite Avenue in Riverside; police located the car and found Jacob and his aunt; her sister, Sissy Motta, was also arrested.
Both women, sisters of Gonzales, were charged with conspiracy and parental abduction.
At approximately 2 p.m., deputies were told that Gonzales was in Cypress, where he was located and arrested. He was booked for parental abduction, violation of a court order and conspiracy.
Jacob was uninjured and reunited with his mother.
