Woman wanted for having fake prescriptions filled

 perscriptioncrime.jpgThe following information has been provided by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department:

On Friday, March 27, an unknown female suspect entered the Sav-on Pharmacy located at 7201 Boulder in the City of Highland. The unknown suspect phoned in an order for prescription medications that included Darvocet and Robaxin.

The suspect purchased the medications. The suspect used a DEA identification number that was not authorized. The pharmacy called the doctor to verify the prescription. The medical doctor contacted the sheriff’s department to report the incident. Deputies were advised that the doctor did not write or authorize the prescriptions.

The suspect used a post office box from the Crestline area for an address. A similar incident has also occurred in the City of Yorba Linda.

The investigation is ongoing at this time and Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the female involved in this incident.  Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect is urged to contact Detective Yost at the Highland Police Station (909) 425-9793.  Callers wishing to remain anonymous may contact the We-Tip Hotline  at 1-(800)-78-CRIME (27463) or may leave information on the We-Tip website at www.wetip.com
