Evangeline “Vangie” Gonzales passed away in Corona, CA Dec. 10, 2009 at the age of 69 years. Born in Corona, CA April 10, 1940, she has been a lifetime resident.

Evangeline was a seamstress for 5 years.

Mrs. Gonzales is survived by her beloved husband, David Gonzales. Loving mother of Darlene Ayala, Jamy, Ray, Angel, Jimmy, Kyle and David Gonzales, JR. Devoted grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Frances Vargas.

Friends may call at the funeral home, Monday, Dec. 21, 2009 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and are invited to attend the Vigil Services at 6;30 p.m. in Grimes-Akes Family’s “Grace Chapel”. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009 at 10 a.m. in St. Edward Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Corona-Sunnyslope Cemetery.
