Eugene Blair Rosenlof age 87, resident of Riverside, CA for 34 years, formerly of Long Beach, CA for 46 years, passed away 12/09/2009 due to cancer/multiple strokes, at his home in Riverside, CA. Eugene was born 01/18/1922 in Fremont, NB.
He retired from the Long Beach Police Dept. as a motor patrol officer from 1950-1981. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a S/SGT during WWII from 1942-1945 where he received the Bronze Star, Distinguished Flying Cross, and the Air Medal.
He received his diploma from Jordan High School where he attended from 1938-1941. He was President of the LBPD Motor Patrol Association-1973, was Vice President of LBPD Motor Patrol Assn-1970 and served on the Board of Directors in 1969 and 1972.
Eugene is survived by his wife, RoseMarie Rosenlof of Riverside; daughter, Michelle Marie Creech of Rocklin; sons, Michael Eugene Rosenlof of Simi Valley and Guy Rosenlof of Long Beach; 3 grandchildren, Rachyl and Taylor Creech and Joshua Rosenlof.
